($475,000) 930 S Jefferson Forest Lane, Blacksburg VA

Hey everybody, it's Amy! Today I'm at 930 South Jefferson Forest. It's in the Preston Forest subdivision, just
outside the town limits. Super convenient, you can probably be right
in town in about 6 or 7 minutes, but still live on a large acreage lot with lots of trees,
and deer, and wildlife. And later I'll take you to the secret little
creek at the back.

It's got the best picnic area. Alright, so this home has never been on the
market. The original owners are retiring and moving
out of the area. They had the home custom-built.

It's brick all the way around, and it's really
pretty big. It's over 3,900 square foot of finished space. Five bedrooms and four, four and a half baths
I think. So let's go on and take a look inside.

Give you the view of the rest of the front
of the house. Alright, here we go. Walk in to the vaulted foyer. Some pretty hardwood floors.

There's almost no carpet in this house. They've, what was originally carpet has been
replaced with hardwood floors. So, there's some original hardwood floors
like here. So, this room right off to the left can be
an office, or another bedroom and easily because it's got a closet and it's attached to a full
bath right here.

And they've made that bathtub handicap accessible
with grab bars. So, that if you had someone that needed to
live on the main level you'd have everything right there. Over this side, is the formal dining room. French doors.

And you can see, through the formal dining
room goes into kind of a, a breakfast room with tile. But we'll go around to that after we go through
the kitchen. So, let's go this way. Kitchen to this side.

So, here is, kind of, the great room with
the vaulted ceiling, and real, full masonry wood-burning fireplace. That door goes to the two-car garage. That's just a coat closet right there. There's the kitchen.

Tons of pantry closet space. One, two, three. Those are all pantries. And, the owners did come in and add in granite
countertops.

The appliances all stay. It is a gas cooktop. Propane. And a, what kind of vent was that...

Yeah,
a NuTone vent vents to the outside. It's actually a pretty powerful vent. Nice tile backsplash. And, so here is the breakfast room, they call
it.

Bright and cheery. Let's go check out the deck, and the backyard. Deck is really big. If you like to have parties, this is a party
deck! And you kind of feel like you're in a tree
house! You can see the backyard.

Little bit of trails and landscaping there. Some sitting areas, and firepit. And, you can't see it too well but just past
that chair is a path that winds down to the private picnic area/creek that's down there. There's a garden space.

And a big fat cat. Really fat cat. Okay, give you a view of the back you can
see - that's the hood over the stove. It's pretty low maintenance with all that
brick.

Let's go on upstairs. Okay, here we go. Again, they put the hardwood floors up here. So here, we have, bedroom one.

Good size bedrooms and deep, decent size closets. And, hey everybody! Double vanity. Tile floors. Got the commode and shower over there.

That's a linen closet. Okay, here's the balcony overlooking the family
room down there. That's an office, but we're not going there
yet. We're going over here to the other bedroom.

Wood floors. Got a regular closet, and got a big attic
storage area, back in here. Tons of storage in this house. Okay, so now come over here.

This is officially the office, could easily
be made into another bedroom, you'd just have to enclose that little loft hole. This room has attic storage, and it is all
floored and huge walk-around space up there. There's a ton of storage space up there, not
that you need it cause there's a ton in the basement too! And then, lots of built-in shelving inside
this closet here. The master's up here.

Oh, he he he! Laundry chute! Too fun! So, hardwood floors. And nice high ceilings here in the master. Beautiful, big picture window so that you
can feel like you're in the trees. Walk-in closet.

Very well-labeled. See: shorts, good and old. Okay, and then the master bath. We've got tile floors, Jacuzzi brand tub.

And it is the Jacuzzi brand. Two vanities. There's a commode in a little closet there,
high ceilings, and then a stand-up shower there that's behind the door. Alright, that's my upstairs- oh yeah! We got an alarm system too.

It's like the only room was carpet is this
little space down here. So here at the bottom of the stairs is kind
of a little foyer area. So, we'll have a full bath in there. The laundry room is right here.

And, it's a pretty good size laundry room. It's got the sink, laundry, it's got an additional
gas hookup underneath there, in case you wanted to put in a gas cooktop and make this a canning
room. Or, if you wanted to have a gas dryer of sorts. The breaker box and electrical panels are
here.

It is wired for a generator, right there. Laundry chute dumps in right here! Oh, complete with laundry! *Teehee* Imagine that. Okay, then let's go pop in the bathroom. Tile floors again.

And it is a full bath. And then we have more storage. We have - it's a gas heater, it's propane,
gas hot water heater, you can see the vent pipes there. The propane tank was outside of the house
-one of those big, giant five hundred gallon tanks.

It's behind a fence so you can't see it. More storage! Plenty of built-in shelving. This way we've got MORE storage. And then this whole area here could be used
as a workshop, a game room, pool table room, ping pong ball room, exercise room, all kinds
of stuff possible here.

More storage closets. The house is serviced by a well and septic. The homeowner has been very proactive on maintenance. He had the septic tank pumped for me last
week.

He just had this whole water system serviced
and taken care of. And then there is another room over here. You could just have as another room. And then out here, they spend a lot of time
out here watching the deer and the birds and the animals.

They covered the top of the porch and the
water - under the deck, rather, and the water all runs to the gutters, and the gutters take
it away there. So, this whole kind of picnic area. And let's walk down and around. Plenty of spots to play around here.

Garden space is over there. And, watch out, there's deer droppings everywhere. That brown fence has the propane tank behind
it. The trail down to the picnic area goes right
there past that swing.

And then, let's go ahead and check the back
of the house out. There ya go. There's my tour of 930 South Jefferson. The inside part.

There's a little addendum that's going to
follow this that has the, the picnic area where the creek is. I hope you enjoyed the tour, and just let
me know if you want to come see it. And I am at the secret picnic spot on the
creek. They've got this all set up with a little
bridge.

Over the creek. He said it flows pretty much year round. He said in one drought did it kind of get
dry. And then there's this giant rock outcropping
that the creek is flowing underneath.

It is so cool and peaceful back here! This rock goes way up. He said they can go around the path, over
that way, and get up on top of the rock. I don't have my hiking boots on, I'm not going
to do that one today. But, they said at one point they kind of dammed
this little area up and made it so they could almost swim.

More like wade in it. Pretty incredible rock. I wish the rhodies were in bloom, I just missed
them by a few weeks. These are all rhododendrons.

So, anyways this is a secret little spot..
